ApHC election & bylaw amendment proposals

A mailing has been sent to all current ApHC members who are eligible to vote in this year’s election of directors and consideration of proposed bylaw amendments. The mailing includes full text of the proposed amendments as welll as three-step instructions for voting online. When you log on to the voting site, the process is pretty simple and you’ll be able to review candidate information as well as bylaw language.

Eligible members in territories I, II, III, IV, and VI will vote for Board of Directors candidates. All voters in these territories are eligible to vote for candidates in their respective territory, regardless of zone. Voters in territories where a candidate is unopposed will vote on bylaw amendments only. Unopposed candidates are elected automatically.

Voters in all territories (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, and VII) will vote for bylaw amendments.

Director Election & Bylaw Voting

The 2010 Appaloosa Horse Club election of directors and bylaw changes are upon us. Eligible ApHC members (those of you who have renewed on time) will receive their ballots by United States Postal service this year and the deadline to return ballots to the auditing firm is June 1, 2010.

Beginning in 2011 ApHC will use electronic balloting to create and manage the annual board of directors election and bylaw amendments. ApHC is actively searching for ways to cut costs and provide new online services to benefit our members and electronic balloting accomplishes both goals.

Notices and instructions for the 2011 online voting will be published in the Appaloosa Journal and on the ApHC website at www.appaloosa.com

For more information, contact Kendra Carlson, ApHC Executive Assistant at (208) 882-5578 ext 274 or executiveassistant@appaloosa.com
