Now in its 26th year, the APEX competition is sponsored by Communications Concepts, Inc., which advises publishing, PR and marketing professionals on best practices in print, web and publishing.
Winning among 215 Design & Illustration submissions, the October 2013 cover captured a breathtaking scene from the Chief Joseph Trail Ride of horses forging a river en mass, photographed by ApHC member Kristen Reiter.
Fellow winning entrants in the 2014 competition include: Walt Disney Company, World Wildlife Magazine, Ford Product Team, Lockheed Martin, American Bar Association, American Airlines Publishing, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., The Washington Post, and T3 Custom/TD Ameritrade, to name a few. The 11 major categories attracted 2,075 entries and the competition was stated to be of “extraordinary quality.”
