Mane Event

mane eventHad a great weekend at the Mane Event in Red Deer, Alberta. Special thanks to the crew from the Appaloosa Horse Association of Alberta (one of our ApHC regional clubs) for providing plenty of helpers, information and items for the trade show booth. And, when I say “trade show,” I’m talking about four huge buildings full of exhibits along with arenas for clinics, contests and special events. Don’t know final tally of visitors, but reports of 20,000 folks on Saturday are probably not unrealistic. The best part is that Alberta is packed with horse-crazy people, so attendees were definitely a target market. In the photo are Alison Ritter and Rob Dewes, AHAA board members. In fact, at a brief meeting of the board at the event, Alison was elected to move up as President. We look forward to more good things including three scheduled ApHC shows this summer and a youth team that’s heading to the Canadian National Appaloosa Show.

It was good seeing you too, Mr Taylor. Thank you for lending you help, time & support. I think it is worth mentioning that also at the Mane Event there are clinics by well known clinicians & demonstrations & Appaloosa were featured in several & there was a good deal of spectators.
