ApHC will be broadcasting live online from Tulsa

The Appaloosa Horse Club is pleased to announce that the 2012 Annual General Membership Meeting (Friday 13th at 5 p.m. Central) and full board session (Monday 16th) of the ApHC Board of Director’s Summer Board Meeting will be broadcast live online and will be free to ApHC members.

Fee structure added to show broadcast:
The ApHC has brought equine enthusiasts free live online broadcasting from the National and Youth World and World Shows since 2005. These broadcasting services have been sponsored by the Appaloosa Horse Club with limited sponsorship and paid advertising support. The ApHC is changing show broadcasting services from a free online service to a pay-per-view service starting with the 65th National Appaloosa Show and 2012 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show.

I for one would have apprecited a bit more notice of such a big change and loss of a service that before was a free perk of being a member.

I don’t have a problem paying to watch this. However, there are people who might be interested in our breed and in the past I have told them to go to the web cam and watch some of our show. Im not going to tell them to go and have to pay this fee to watch. This just seems petty to me, and not going to promote the breed.

Thank you ApHC for the live broadcast. Its a great start! Would like to see the BOD Committee meetings live next time, as that is where ALOT of information and understanding of how our BOD operates takes place! I think the fees associated to view will bring some revenue into the club and will, perhaps, dissaude those who only wish to criticize our exhibitors. Thanks again, APHC! Great job!

Another comment, if you have a horse for sale, this web cam was a good thing to have people watch. And, we did not find out about it until July 4. I think this is poor advertising.

I don’t have a problem paying to watch live feed. My problem is when the live feed stops for the night and doesn’t finish the last classes of the day. I’m very dissapointed to not be able to watch and cheer on my friends at the show because it’s past the time!!!!! URGH!

Sad that the ApHC would charge to see the broadcast. I thought this organization was different but they aren’t. They have to get every last penny out of the members that they possibly can. Booo!

I am enjoying watching the Youth World Show and the National Show thus far. My only suggestion is when the competitors are riding to music (like the Champion of Champions class today) that the viewers are able to hear the music as well. Keep up the good work!!
