ApHC election & bylaw amendment proposals

A mailing has been sent to all current ApHC members who are eligible to vote in this year’s election of directors and consideration of proposed bylaw amendments. The mailing includes full text of the proposed amendments as welll as three-step instructions for voting online. When you log on to the voting site, the process is pretty simple and you’ll be able to review candidate information as well as bylaw language.

Eligible members in territories I, II, III, IV, and VI will vote for Board of Directors candidates. All voters in these territories are eligible to vote for candidates in their respective territory, regardless of zone. Voters in territories where a candidate is unopposed will vote on bylaw amendments only. Unopposed candidates are elected automatically.

Voters in all territories (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, and VII) will vote for bylaw amendments.

Should save the club a lot of money in sending out ballots. Am sure there are members who do not have a computer. Do they still get a paper ballot?

    Thank you for your reply.

No paper ballots. “We” believe voter participation will increase with electronic process. Those without a computer can access the site from friends, library, etc. Trying to do both would negate the savings, take more time and require two different audit procedures.

I found the voting process easy. Hopefully it’ll be a positive change for the club.

Have to say this was one of the ‘easiest’ years for me to vote. No fretting about mailing times, no worries about any quakes interfering with delivery. Received my emailed notification with ID and PIN and could vote right then and there. Plus a nice receipt to print out should any question arise regarding my vote getting in on time.

Steve, the voting was very easy for me. I did it as soon as I got the e-mail from the club telling me how so I wouldn’t forget.
