World Show pattern book

worldhorseA quick note from the ApHC Performance Department — the 2009 World Show Pattern Book is now available online. Click on the home-page “show” button, then go to the World Show page.

Might be a good time to offer my/our appreciation to all the folks in the office. With World Show qualifying reports, invitations, entries and a raft of other show preparation details, everyone has pitched in and worked together to make things happen in Fort Worth.

Thanks to all!

Who picks the patterns? How are they arrived at?
Curious why a pattern like ApHC WCH #5 would be chosen for a “World” show.

Patterns are submitted by the judges selected. Show management reviews those submitted and chooses patterns for the show in addition to creating new patterns based on elements submitted by the judges. Pattern 5 has been used several times in the past few years although typically at the National Show.

It would be great to adopt the NRCHA guidelines and patterns. This would help make the ApHC more respected in the cow horse industry.

Thank you for the information as to who picks the patterns. I was curious as to what criteria the people/person picking the patterns use to decide what pattern.
