I was also upset when the ApHC switched from Gist to Montana Silversmith. I think the Gist buckles were a much higher quality.

I was wondering the same thing Susan, why we left Gist. As a past Regional Club Director, I can say that Gist was great to deal with when ordering our year end awards. And they offered us (the Regional Clubs)a great deal on volume orders. Not to mention that their buckles were outstanding. I can only hope that Montana Silversmiths will be offering a simular deal on a simular quality product. Steve, can you enlighten us at all?

I’ve also been wondering why the club switched from Gist. The Gist Buckles were a much better quality and value.

Sorry, I meant to ask, why in the world did we change buckle suppliers when it was going to cost your exhibitors so much more in a tough economy? Or it the ApHC getting the difference – I notice that most of the trophy buckles on the Montana website are $150.

The Gist buckles a little over $100 (the APHA top ten buckles are $140) – so I was shocked when I saw that we now have Montana Silversmith and have to order from the App club and pay $240 or $250. I was so excited about my res ch and wanted to get a buckle, but not for $250!!!!!!
