Thanks to Tamworth District Western Performance & Appaloosa Club

In the Appaloosa Journal we refer to corrections as our “accuracy watch.” For the blog, we’ll just say we’re offering an amended (and very big) THANK YOU to the Tamworth District Western Performance & Appaloosa Club of Australia for sponsoring the Non-Pro Most Colorful at Halter class at the 2008 World Show in Fort Worth. It was mistakenly listed as sponsored by the Australian Appaloosa Association.

We received a nice note from Carol Willding, secretary of the club, reminding us of the error. She says, “We are a small regional club in Australia and our members are proud and honored to be allowed to play a small part in such a prestigious event and it would be appreciated if our club could be acknowledged as the sponsor of the class.”

Well, Carol, we certainly do acknowledge your support and we appreciate it very much. We’ll also print a correction in the Journal.

For those of you who might want to visit the club’s website:

Tamworth District Western Performance & Appaloosa Club Inc was formed in 1991 to provide shows for predominately Western style horses. Over the years we have increased our profile of horses and we now include classes for many registries of Miniature Horses as well as our beloved Appaloosas, the Australian Quarterhorse and Paint Horses. There are halter classes for all breeds of horses as well as ridden classes such as Western Pleasure, Western Trail and Hunter Under Saddle. The halter classes are not just for those breeds mentioned but also Pintos, Palominos and Buckskins so long as your horse is registered with a breed society. Take a quick look at our program to see if there is a class for your horse.

On a slightly different note, we will be sending two ApHC judges to the Australian National Show in April.
