Pre-show routine

Even for horses that have seen and done it all, there is always more to be done in preparation for the World Championship Show. The Justin Arena — and all the other available space with dirt — was occupied today with exhibitors and their Appaloosas. Sometimes the horses needed to be reminded of which disciplines they would be involved in next. For others, it’s a matter of finding harmony with the surroundings while learning anew to relax and focus.

We have nearly 900 horses entered in this year’s show. With some expected late entries, we’ll be very close to last year’s number of total class entries. For the economic climate, we’ll be delighted with anything close to steady. So, here’s another tip of the hat to everyone who made the sacrifices necessary to get here. We sincerely appreciate your support of the 2008 World Show!
