Re: 9/16/08 post: I believe that is "received" not "recieved". "i" before "e", except after "c". Rolled-up, stepping-up, all require hypens. Please use punctuation in your posts.

Well, just a little added comment here. I went to the AHC website, requested info. I recieved just now a reply, no cost to participate in this program although membership is an option, as it has been all along. Just thought I would clear that up. An all voluntary program to reach out to other horse people and since we are members already as ApHC members, unofficially we are a part.

I for one will give it a try, not much of use is free anyway and this industry sure needs some honest, and strong support from the horse community. They have stepped up and now, some are suggesting it isn't worth it, I am not sure about others but at this point some real effort, hard work, rolled up sleeves and dollars are certainly called for to get something turned around. Long overdue but finally and now I hope those with the dedication do all they can to get things turned around and thank you AHC for finally stepping up and encouraging all horse owners to become involved and "own" their industry.

From the AHC website:

"Please contact the equine association you are a member of or join the American Horse Council to become a part of this exciting initiative."

Folks.......the AHC organization in DC wants you to "pay" to join this exciting new initiative.........another group that wants your money but won't do a thing to protect the horse, the horsemen or the horse industry!
