A Step Back in Time, Alabama Style

bamaOn Saturday October 6, 2007, Dixieland ApHC Club members (Melinda, Taylor, Erin & Shelby Bauermeister, Kathi Arnould, Maggie Pugsley , Judie Shults, Natures Success LC – “Radar”, & Heza Catcher – “Spider”) promoted the Appaloosa breed at the “Step Back in Time Event – Horses, Horses and more Horses Day” at Burritt on the Mountain — A Living Museum ( in Huntsville, Alabama. Walking around the Historic Park with our spotted friends we passed out ApHC literature and gave the history (past & present)of the Appaloosa horse to over 175 spectators and of course answered many questions about the horses.

Way to go, Dixieland APHC!! This is exactly what the Appaloosa needs – to have folks take their horses out so the general public can see and meet them.

Warning to General Public: There is no cure for “Spotted Fever”. It will be with you for the rest of your life However, this is really wonderful disease, as every Appaloosa lover can attest to.

Thanks to ApHC regional club members, like these! Each of us needs to find a way to allow our horses to be seen, in a public venue, like this one.
